Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music

For the past eight years, Jeff has been the in-house music theory professor for the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music where his course is required for all incoming freshman. Jeff also is the coordinator for the Studio Performance Workshops in which student compositions are produced by Jeff, recorded by Michael O’Reilly and performed by the students at the department’s state of the art facilities.

Look for Jeff’s new course, “The Decade – 1960-1970: The Music of The Beatles, Motown, Phil Spector and Stax” in the spring of 2014.

Studio Performance Workshop

These songs are from the Studio Performance Workshop series at the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at NYU. This unique series matches songs from the songwriting class with student musicians and engineers, it’s directed by Jeff (in the live room) and Michael O’Reilly in the booth. These songs were written and performed by students and were produced, arranged and mixed by Jeff at ReMu studio 510 and 21N.
